That week in June when I found three arrowheads in one afternoon
I've been surface hunting on my family's farm in southern Ohio for about 15 years now. Most days I find nothing but rocks and old bottle caps. But one week last June was different. On a Tuesday after a heavy rain I walked along the creek bank and spotted a nice flint point sticking out of the mud. Then Wednesday I found a broken blade near the same spot. And on Friday afternoon I kicked up a perfect quartz arrowhead that still had sharp edges. Three artifacts in three days after going months with zero finds. Has anyone else had a streak like that where the ground just seemed to give up its secrets?

Oh man, hate to be that guy but quartz points are pretty rare around southern Ohio, you sure it wasn't just a piece of worked quartzite or something? Either way that's a killer streak.

Read somewhere that quartz points often turn up after heavy rain because the water highlights them.
