Hit 10,000 stacked photos last night, my first shot from 2018 still looks better
I was organizing my hard drive this week and saw I've stacked over 10,000 individual light frames since I started astrophotography in 2018. That number blew my mind, especially because my best image is still my first decent M42 from a backyard in Tucson. My newer gear and processing skills should beat it, but that old shot has this natural color balance I keep chasing. Maybe I over-process now or my target selection got too ambitious. Anyone else find their early work holds up weirdly well after years of upgrades? What's your most surprising keeper from back then?
