My backyard Milky Way shot finally looked good last night

After months of fuzzy pics, everything just lined up perfectly. I think the town's dimmer lights are making a real difference for star photos.

Nice! I heard some towns are passing laws about outdoor lights to help with that.

Honestly, these light laws are getting ridiculous. Like, my cousin had to swap all his porch lights for dim yellow ones and now his yard looks like a haunted house. Meanwhile, his neighbor has a backyard lamp so bright it lights up the whole block, but it's somehow fine. Guess crime only happens under certain colors of light now. We'll all be using flashlights to find our own trash cans soon.

Those laws sound like a hassle for regular homeowners trying to keep their yards safe. Security lights can stop crime and make people feel more secure at night. It just feels like more pointless rules telling people what to do with their own property.
