I kept checking for trail conditions and it changed how I see waiting
Last spring, I was set to hike the Highline Trail in Glacier Park. The park service said it was closed due to deep snow for weeks. I found myself refreshing the website every morning, just hoping for an update. At work, I was also stuck on a project that felt like it would never end. Staring at that 'closed' sign online made it click that some things are out of my hands. Now, when I'm stuck waiting, I think about that trail and it helps me relax. Hiking taught me that good things come when they're ready, not when I demand it.
