Shoutout to the Sydney train guy video, took me 4 hours to find out where the 'ding' sound comes from
So my kid would not stop playing that clip of the commuter dancing to the train door chime, and I fell down a rabbit hole trying to figure out where that exact 'ding dong' comes from. Turns out it's the old Comeng trains here in Melbourne (not Sydney, I was wrong for 3 hours straight). Ended up in a 12 year old Whirlpool forum thread with a guy named Bazza who recorded every chime on the network. Does anyone have a link to the full sound pack? My kid wants it as a text tone and I am not digging through that thread again.

Wait, Bazza had the whole network recorded? That Whirlpool thread is a goldmine if you can find his original uploads. I remember someone in there mentioning he had separate files for the door chime, the arrival bell, and even that weird two tone thing on the newer X'Trapolis trains. Problem is those old Mediafire links are probably dead by now. Did the thread mention if he moved everything to a Google Drive or a Dropbox at some point? That usually happens when the original links die and people keep asking. If you find the pack, grab the Comeng door one first because that's the one everyone actually wants.
