Pro tip: chose the $38 eBay fender over the $140 CAPA one for a 2016 Civic, and now I'm second guessing
Customer brought in a 2016 Civic with a crunched front fender, and I had two options: a $38 aftermarket fender off eBay or a $140 CAPA certified one from my local jobber here in Toledo. I went with the cheap one to keep his cost down, and the thing fit like garbage. The gap at the headlight was off by almost a quarter inch and I spent two hours with a hammer and dolly just getting it close, which ate up any savings. Ended up eating the labor difference myself because I told him it would be a clean job. Has anyone else had luck with the eBay panels on these Civics, or am I just better off quoting CAPA every time and letting the customer decide?
