Dropped $400 on a smoke machine 2 years ago, best or worst money I ever spent in the bay?
Bought a $400 smoke machine for finding vacuum and evap leaks, and it has saved me probably 20 hours of guessing on cars that would have been a nightmare to diag. But I have also watched a guy chase a smoke trail for 3 hours and it turned out to be nothing, just a bad O2 sensor the whole time. Do you guys actually use smoke testers or do you think they make techs lazy?
