Spent $80 on a magnetic parts tray and it's the best money I've spent this month.

Had a valve cover job on a 2012 Civic where one of those tiny cam cap bolts fell into the abyss, but the magnet fished it out in seconds, so what other cheap tools have saved you guys a huge headache?

Oh man, magnetic trays are lifesavers for sure. Grab a set of those cheap flexible grabber tools, the ones with the little claws on the end. I've pulled out so many dropped bolts from deep in engine bays with those things. They cost like five bucks and live in my top drawer because you never know when you'll need one.

Hey @paigewhite, aren't those grabbers usually magnetic too? I've only ever seen the magnetic kind for picking up metal parts.

The cheap ones I've seen are just plastic claws, no magnet.
