Ever try to teach someone your exact method when you work by feel? I had a new guy shadow me and he kept asking for exact weights, but my hands just know the right dough texture. The real skill is knowing how to adjust for a humid day or weaker flour, stuff no scale tells you. That baker's customers came back for his specific bread, not a perfect recipe. Getting good at those little daily fixes matters way more than hitting a number.

Wait, are they really that good? I tried a pair once and all I got was a weird pressure feeling in my ears, like being underwater. They cut out the AC hum, sure, but my dog barking or a door slamming still came through clear as day. Maybe my expectations were just too high.

Kai_knight62's story about the melted nozzle is a good example of a different problem, faulty construction. The post here is about bad heat control on a working tool. My old salon had a basic ceramic iron from a beauty supply store, the kind with a real dial, not buttons. You could set it exactly where you needed and it never spiked.
