Transmission flush on a 200k mile truck, what a mess

I pulled a 2004 F-150 into my bay last Tuesday in Columbus. Customer wanted a transmission service, 210k miles on it, never been flushed. I told him high mileage flushes can break loose junk and clog things up. He said do it anyway. So I drop the pan, fluid looks like used motor oil, filter is basically sludge. I flush it, refill, take it for a spin. Shifts smooth for about 3 blocks, then it starts slipping hard between 2nd and 3rd. Clogged the valve body almost immediately. Customer wasn't mad, just said should've listened. Cost him $180 for the flush plus another $400 for a valve body cleaning. Now I only do high mileage flushes if the pan is clean and the fluid doesn't smell burnt. Has anyone else seen a flush kill a trans that was running fine on old fluid?
