Contractors quoting 3 week cross country runs now taking 6

I booked a Florida to Oregon move back in March and the contract said 14 to 18 days. My car finally showed up in Portland on day 39 after three different excuses about driver swaps and weather in Texas. Has anyone else seen quotes that far off this year or was this just a bad broker?

God that's awful. My buddy had the same kind of mess last fall, Minnesota to Arizona, contract said 10 days. He got his truck on day 26, and the driver told him it had sat in a lot in Oklahoma for a week because they were waiting for a second vehicle to fill the trailer. The broker kept saying "it's on the way" but the tracking showed it never even left the yard for like 12 days. He ended up having to rent a car for work, total pain.
