That week in September when every single connector I tested passed on the first try in the hangar near O'Hare

I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but nope, three night shifts of nonstop perfect readings on those old 747 harnesses and I still don't know what I did differently, has anyone else had a run like that where everything just lined up?

Read an article once that called it the "gremlins taking a smoke break.

Heard a tech once call it "the ghost in the machine taking a nap." Same kind of thing. He swore by the theory that electronics just have moods sometimes, no way to predict it. Do you think there's any difference between gremlins taking a break vs. them just messing with us for sport?

Twenty-three consecutive readings on the number two engine harness, all green lights. I spent half an hour convinced my Fluke meter was broken, so I swapped it for a backup. Still perfect. Gremlins taking a smoke break is probably the best description I've ever heard, because that kind of alignment just doesn't happen with any logic or reason behind it.
