My neighbor's hose reel saved my grass from me
Last month I got a new oscillating sprinkler, the kind that spins on a tripod. Set it up in the back corner, turned it on, went inside for a beer. Came out 40 minutes later to a mini swamp, the hose had kinked and the head flipped sideways, drenching one strip of sod for way too long. My neighbor Carl saw it from his fence and just handed me his wall-mounted hose reel with a slow-return spring. Said he learned the hard way after ruining his own patch in Phoenix. Now I always walk the hose path before starting any watering. Has anyone else had a sprinkler setup go sideways on them in an unexpected way?
