Pro tip: I started adding text overlays to my Reels and my views jumped from 200 to 2k in a week

I read that the Instagram algorithm favors videos with on-screen text, so I tried it on my last five posts. Has anyone else seen a big boost from a simple change like that?

So you're telling me I spent all that time trying to be artsy and the algorithm just wants me to write on my videos? I put up this beautiful shot of my coffee and got twelve likes. Next day I scribble "MORNING FUEL" on a blurry picture of my toaster and it blows up. Feels like a weird joke.

Yeah, but have you tried putting the text in a different spot? I saw a video where someone tested it. Turns out the algorithm really wants to see words right in the middle for the first few seconds. Maybe your "MORNING FUEL" just hit the sweet spot by accident.
