Unpopular take: Instagram's 3-reels-a-day rule is actually hurting my reach

I went to a creator meetup in Austin last week and everyone was bragging about posting 3 reels daily, but when I tested it for 14 days my engagement actually dropped 20%. Has anyone else tried posting less but higher quality and seen better results?

Totally agree with this. I used to be all about that "post every single day" grind, I thought that's just how you win on Instagram. But then I tried your approach for a week (posting 2 really solid reels instead of 3 rushed ones) and my views actually went up. It's wild how the algorithm seems to punish you for flooding it with low effort stuff, at least in my case. I guess the platform wants people to watch and share, not just scroll past a bunch of average videos. Quality really does beat quantity for me now, which I never believed before.

Ngl it's like that with almost everything now, even with friends. I'd rather have 2 real ones I actually talk to than 20 people I just send memes to and never see.
