A 4-word comment on my reel made me redo my entire caption strategy

Someone wrote "too long, didnt read" under my 300-word story post and after checking my analytics, every one of my top posts had captions under 50 words, so now I trim everything to two short paragraphs and ask one simple question at the end, has anyone else seen a drop in saves when they cut their captions down?

lol my last post was 800 words about tomato spacing and it got 2 likes, one of them was probably my mom. trimmed it to 30 words and now people actually read the thing. saves definitely dipped a bit but i figure a save no one reads is worse than a comment from someone who actually finished the caption. my new rule is if i can't say it in the time it takes to microwave a burrito, it goes in the drafts folder forever.
