Just realized that a random Tuesday at a Tampa coffee shop taught me more about virality than 6 months of courses
I was sitting in a cafe on Howard Ave in Tampa last month when I overheard a guy at the next table tell his friend he spent $400 on a viral marketing course. He pulled up his phone and showed the guy a 9 second clip of his dog doing nothing, which had 8 million views. Then he showed his actual product page, which had 12 sales. The whole thing hit me weird. I went home, deleted my saved "content strategy" bookmarks, and started watching what normal people actually share instead of what gurus say to post. Has anyone else noticed the stuff that blows up is almost never the stuff that was planned?
