DAE remember when watching a show meant waiting a whole week for the next episode?
I finished all 9 seasons of The Office in about 3 weeks last month, and back when it first aired I had to wait 7 days between episodes like everyone else. Part of me misses that slower pace because the waiting gave me time to actually sit with what happened in each one. Now I'll blink and somehow a whole season is done in two nights on my couch in Fresno. Does anyone else feel weird about how fast we burn through shows now, or is it just me?
Do you think the waiting actually made the show better for you, or did it just make you remember it better? I ask because there's a real thing where your brain holds onto stuff more when there's space between it. When you binge, every episode blurs into the next one and you can't even remember which season had which storyline. So is it the show that hits different, or is it just that you had more time to think about it back then?
