My power was out for a whole day and I finally watched 'The Bear'

We had a bad storm here in Cleveland last Tuesday, and my internet and power were down for like 12 hours straight. I'd been putting off watching 'The Bear' because I thought it'd be stressful, but I binged the whole first season on my phone with a portable charger. Has anyone else had a show they only got into because they were stuck somewhere?

Ever notice how forced downtime creates the best discoveries?

Disagree completely. Forced downtime just makes me feel trapped and anxious. My best ideas come when I'm already busy and in a good flow, not when I'm stuck waiting for something. Being forced to stop feels like a punishment, not a chance to think. It just kills my mood and any chance of a creative spark.

Okay but hear me out on "forced downtime feels like a punishment." What if that trapped feeling is the whole point? It's like your brain hitting a wall and having to find a different way around. When you're in a good flow, you're just following the same comfortable paths. Being stuck makes you desperate enough to try a weird idea you'd normally ignore. That anxiety might be the pressure that actually forces a new connection.
