Some guy at my gym bragged about his 10k followers and I looked him up that night, 8 of his last 10 pics had the same comment on them
So I'm at the gym in Sacramento last Tuesday and this dude next to me is talking loud about how he's got a fitness page with 10k followers and brands hitting him up. I got curious later and searched his handle. 8 of his last 10 photos had this same comment from different accounts, word for word, something like "fire content keep grinding king." Different profile pics, joined dates all within the same month, and none of them had posted anything themselves. I started checking a few other accounts I follow and found the same pattern on at least 3 more fitness pages. The weird part is the real comments looked totally different, way shorter, people just saying stuff like "whats your split" or tagging a friend. Now I basically scan the comment section before I trust any account with a big follower count. Has anyone else noticed these copy paste comment crews lately, or am I just seeing it everywhere now because I started looking?

Read a thing on Reddit a while back about bot farms you can rent for like 20 bucks a month, and they just drop the same comment on your posts from hundreds of fake accounts to make it look like people care. What gave it away for those pages was the exact same thing you saw, joined dates all bunched together and zero posts on the accounts. The comments that get me are the ones with a random emoji and a one word reply like "clean" because a real person almost never types just that. Started noticing it too once I looked, and now the follower count means nothing to me, I check if the comments actually talk to each other.
