Hot take: Growing from seeds beats buying full plants every single time
I used to just grab those ready-to-go tomato plants from the garden center every spring. Last year, I spent about $60 on six big ones. This season, I spent $12 on seed packets and started them indoors. The difference is HUGE. The plants I grew from seed are way stronger and have way more flowers already. I think it's because they never got shocked from being moved around in a tiny pot. My neighbor said my home-started peppers look 'professional,' which felt great. Honestly, buying the grown plant feels like a shortcut that just doesn't pay off. Has anyone else made the switch and seen their garden just take off?

My buddy's basil went crazy after he tried seeds too.

Crazy is one word for it. My friend tried seeds and got a few sad little sprouts that never took off. I've had way better luck just buying a small plant from the garden center. It's already strong and you get leaves way faster.
