Threw $120 down the drain on a fancy soil pH meter
I bought this digital pH meter from a brand called Bluelab because I thought it would save me from guessing with my fiddle leaf figs. It told me my soil was at 8.5 so I dumped a ton of sulfur in, then the plant started dropping leaves like crazy. Turns out the meter was off by almost 2 full points and I cooked the roots for nothing. Has anyone else had a supposedly premium tester just flat out lie to you?
Toss that thing in the drawer and go back to the old-school liquid test kits for a while. They're cheap, last forever, and won't lie to you about your soil.
