Had the worst day at the Bothell farmers market last Saturday, then a stranger turned it around

A quick smile and simple hello from a stranger at the U Village market totally saved my afternoon too.

Thursday afternoon, around 2pm. I was at the hardware store grabbing some fittings, in a bad mood because a job was running long. A older guy just nods at me and says "Looks like you're working on something important." No joke, it reset my whole attitude instantly. Since then I make it a point to say something to people I pass, even just "hey, hope your day's going good." It takes zero effort and you never know who really needs to hear it.

Man that's wild how one random person can just flip your whole day around out of nowhere. I've been thinking about this a lot lately... we live in this weird world where everyone's got their face in a phone or earbuds in, completely blocking out the people around them. But then something like this happens and it shows how much we actually need those little connections, you know? It's like we forget that the person next to us could be having the worst day ever and a simple nod or kind word might be the only good thing that happens to them. Makes you wonder how many chances we miss every single day to be that person for someone else.
