Showerthought: that one Tuesday last month where everything went wrong
Last month I had a day where the coffee maker broke, the dog threw up on the rug, and I got a flat tire on 405 all before 9am. The worst part was the guy at the tire shop told me it'd be $200 and then charged me $350. Has anyone else had a day where you just should have stayed in bed?

$350 for a tire patch feels like robbery with extra steps.

Man, that is straight up highway robbery... I had a shop charge me $40 once for a patch and I thought THAT was bad. $350 though? That's insulting honestly, like they're banking on you being desperate or not knowing any better. Most patches take maybe 15 minutes if the tire's already off the car. Even with dismounting and remounting, that's crazy money for basically plugging a hole. Wouldn't be surprised if they tried to upsell you a whole new tire too, that's how those places work.
