A "luxury watch brand" offered me $50 and a 15% code for a Reel, then asked if I could ship the watch back
This was 3 weeks ago, they DM'd me from an account with 400 followers and a bio that just said "timeless elegance." I asked where the contract was and they sent me a Google Doc with the terms "payment upon vibes" still in it. Curious if the "we'll pay you in exposure plus a discount code" pitch is getting more common or if I just got lucky with this one.

Used to figure these offers were rare, like maybe one in a hundred brands pulled this stuff. Then my cousin got a DM from some candle company offering her a free wick and a shoutout for a full video review, and she had to send the candle back too. Sounds like the "pay you in vibes" thing is just how broke brands operate now. "Payment upon vibes" in the actual contract is a new low though, that part made me laugh.
