That 1-star review in Denver taught me to verify every price I post
Three months ago someone left a 1-star review on our fencing page saying the prices we listed online were way off from the quote they got. They were right. I had copied pricing from a 2021 spreadsheet and never double checked it. After that I sat down for a full weekend and reworked every page, not just prices but how I described materials and timelines. Now I list a base price range with a clear note that final quotes depend on site visit and yard size. That one comment probably saved me from losing more jobs than I can count. Has anyone else had a single negative review force a real overhaul of how you present stuff?

Did you also change how you break down the labor and materials part of the quote, or just the total price? Curious if people still get surprised by the add ons after site visit.
