That viral apology post from the pizza chain last week was a train wreck
They posted a 500 word essay about how sorry they were for messing up an order, but the photo attached showed the wrong pizza entirely... Has anyone else seen a brand make things worse by trying to be sincere too fast?

Train wreck" is right, I once apologized to my wife for an hour about forgetting milk and came back with orange juice instead.

An hour of apologizing for milk? That's like a whole different level of dedication right there. I can't even decide what's more shocking - the hour long apology or grabbing orange juice instead of milk. That OJ move is just adding insult to injury, man. At least if you came back with something similar like 2% instead of whole milk you could make a case for yourself. But orange juice? That's like apologizing for burning dinner and then bringing home a pizza.
