Why does nobody bring up the time a CEO's 3am tweet got 40k replies by sunrise?
Still bugs me how fast that one blew up back in 2019, and the company's fix was just deleting it and posting a coffee joke. What's the worst late night brand post you can still remember word for word?
Small correction, that whole thing was 2019 but the tweet itself went up closer to 2am, not 3. I remember because I was up with a sick kid and watched the reply count jump from like 200 to 15k in under an hour. The brand never really said sorry either, they just quietly pulled it and acted like the coffee joke was the plan all along. What got me was how many people screenshotted it before the delete, so the "fix" did nothing. My pick for worst one is still that 2018 post from a frozen food company that tried to be funny about a snowstorm and told people to just eat their feelings. They posted it at 1am and it stayed up for nine hours.
