Shoutout to the overnight bus from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, saved me $47

I was about to book the $60 flight until a guy at my hostel in Bangkok said the $13 sleeper bus leaves at 8pm and you wake up there. The seat folded flat, they gave me a blanket, and I slept most of the way, so when did a flight ever beat that?

Try doing that same trip in the rainy season when the road floods and you're stuck for 14 hours, then tell me the 60 dollar flight wasn't worth every penny. Plus you lose a whole night of sleep on a bus, and that's a day of your trip gone.
