Found out my coffee habit was costing me over $900 a year
I was just messing around with my bank app yesterday, looking at my spending. I added up every single coffee shop stop from the past year, even the cheap ones. It came out to $912. I was shocked, I had no idea it was that much. I found this out by using the app's category tool, it was way easier than I thought. That's like a whole plane ticket or a new phone just gone on caffeine. I'm trying to cut back now and make more at home. Has anyone else had a wake-up call like this with a small daily buy?

Honestly, I switched to a cheap French press and it saved me a ton.

My old drip machine cost like three bucks a day to run.

Totally get it, that number is a real shock. @miles72 is right about the French press, that move changed everything for me. Did the same math on my lunch takeout last year and almost fell over. It's crazy how those little buys add up without you even noticing. Making a simple switch at home feels silly at first but the savings are real. My wallet is way happier now.
