My car's AC gave out right before a road trip to Austin
It happened two weeks ago and I was sure it would cost a ton. I found a local shop that fixed it for $200 less than the dealer quoted by using a rebuilt part. Anyone know a good way to save for these surprise car costs?

Your AC knew Austin was too hot and tapped out early.

Maybe it's a sign we should stop building glass towers that trap all that heat.

Oh man, that reminds me of my friend Jake. His truck's transmission went totally dead last winter. He found this mechanic who works out of his home garage and fixed it for like half of what a shop wanted. Honestly, Jake just puts fifty bucks cash in an envelope every payday now for car stuff. It saved him last time.
