Spent 3 weeks fighting my grocery store's coupon app to save $4.50

Last month I decided to actually use the digital coupons at my Kroger here in Columbus instead of just ignoring them like usual. The app kept saying I had $4.50 in savings waiting, so I figured easy money, right? Wrong. Every time I clipped a coupon it would vanish from the list, then reappear as unclipped the next day. I called customer service twice, sat on hold for 22 minutes once, and the guy just told me to delete and reinstall the app. Did that three times. Still broken. I ended up screenshotting every coupon, showing them at the register, and the poor cashier had to manually punch in 11 separate codes while a line built up behind me. Took almost 3 weeks of back and forth for $4.50, which is less than a coffee. Has anyone else had a store app fight them harder than the actual prices?
