A stranger's comment about my weekly spread fixed my whole system

I posted a photo of my weekly layout on here and someone pointed out that my habit tracker was basically useless because I kept cramming 8 boxes into a 2 inch space. They said, "you're not tracking habits, you're just making marks." So I cut my tracker down to 3 key habits and gave each one a full row with room for notes. Now I actually check it every night instead of ignoring it. Has anyone else found that scaling back made their BuJo more useful?

Nah, I gotta disagree with this one. Cutting things back is just making excuses for being lazy. I track 12 habits in my weekly spread and they all fit in a row of tiny squares. The whole point is to see everything at a glance, not to give yourself room to write essays about drinking water. If you only track 3 things, you're not building a system, you're just keeping a to-do list. The marks ARE the habit. That's the discipline. Once you start giving each habit its own row and notes section, you're just journaling with extra steps.
