That minimalist spread at a meetup in Austin made me question everything about daily logs

Saw someone with a super stripped down layout during the Austin bullet journal meetup last month and it hit me that my overly detailed daily logs were just making me anxious. Has anyone else found less structure actually helps you keep up with your journal long term?

Might as well have handed me a mirror and showed me exactly where I was wasting my time with all those tiny color coded trackers. Less structure just means less opportunity to feel bad about skipping a day, which is basically the whole reason I started bullet journaling in the first place. My current daily log is literally three lines and a smiley face if I'm feeling ambitious, and somehow that's the most consistent I've ever been.

That three-line log sounds like pure freedom, maybe I should toss my color-coded habit tracker in the trash.
