I bought a 'can't miss' online course for $500 and it was all basic stuff

I saw an ad for a course about starting a side business, and the sales page made it sound like a secret system. I paid $500 last month thinking it would have special steps. The videos were just common sense advice you can find for free, like 'find a need and fill it.' I feel like I got tricked by good marketing. Has anyone else had this happen with a business course?

Yeah, that "secret system" line is always a red flag. Next time, look for free previews or reviews from people who actually finished the course.

Ugh, tell me about it... I read this article once about how a lot of those courses are just "info products." They take stuff from free blogs and forums, record a fancy video, and call it a system. Like that "find a need" thing... that's in every business book ever written. It's crazy they charge hundreds for repackaged common sense. Makes you real careful about clicking those ads now.

Man, I heard they even scrape Reddit threads for that stuff.
