Old timer told me I was washing my hands too much, and he was right
I used to scrub my hands 30+ times a day with that harsh antibacterial soap until a guy named Frank at the Detroit Meat Market said I was damaging the meat with residue. He showed me how to use a vinegar rinse instead, just a splash after each cut. Now I only wash with soap between animals, not every single piece. Anyone else had an old timer change their sanitation routine?

Frank at the Detroit Meat Market taught me the same vinegar trick years ago.

Wish someone told me that ten years ago before I wrecked my hands so bad they look like old catcher's mitts? I was using that orange pumice stuff every time I blinked, thought I was being super clean. Frank's got the right idea though, that vinegar trick saves my hide literally. My knuckles stopped cracking open like little canyons.
