Serious question, I saw a butcher shop in Omaha with a huge sign for 'grass-fed, grain-finished' beef.

I was driving through Omaha last week and stopped at a small shop called Heartland Meats. Their main window had a big banner explaining their beef was grass-fed but grain-finished for 120 days. I've always just sold grass-fed or grain-fed, not a mix. It got me wondering about how other shops handle labeling and what customers really want to know. Do you think that kind of specific sign helps sales or just confuses people?

That Heartland Meats sign is just marketing fluff, not a serious farming debate. Most shoppers just want to know if it's cheap or not.

But that sign starts a real talk we need to have. It's not just fluff if it makes someone stop and wonder where their food actually comes from. I've seen people read those labels and then ask questions about farm practices for the first time. Sure, price matters, but so does knowing if the animals were treated okay. That little bit of info can change what someone buys next time.
