I said 'brat summer' to a 50 year old guy named Dale at a jobsite in Warren, Ohio, and I'm still recovering
Last Tuesday my apprentice kept calling everything 'brat' so I finally asked what it meant, and he just said 'you wouldn't get it.' So I tried it on Dale at lunch, he stared at me for 8 full seconds and asked if I meant his daughter's dog named Bratwurst. Has anyone else tried a slang word on a much older person and gotten absolutely cooked for it?
Staring at you for 8 seconds before guessing his daughter's dog is brutal. Imagine being Dale and thinking brat summer has something to do with a sausage dog.
