Learned last week that 'delulu' made it into Dictionary.com, and my 12 year old niece KNEW it before I did
I looked it up after she called herself delulu about a boy in her class, and the site says it got added in 2024, which means the slang word pipeline from her phone to my phone is officially moving faster than I can keep up with.
Honestly the fact that a 12 year old is out here using words that made it into the dictionary before you even heard them is wild. Your niece is basically a walking news feed at this point. Pretty soon she will be explaining your own texts back to you like you are the old one. The slang pipeline really said skip the middleman and go straight from her phone to a dictionary. At least now you have a translator on call when she drops the next one on you.
