Doweled joints vs biscuits after 40 jobs in Seattle

I spent the last 6 months building kitchen cabinets with biscuits and had to fix 3 loose panels before delivery. Switched to dowels on the last 10 jobs and not one call back. The dowel jig cost me $150 but it's way more forgiving than I thought. Anyone else find dowels hold up better in plywood than biscuits?

Wait, you had 3 loose panels with biscuits on 40 jobs? That's wild to me. I've used biscuits for years and never had one fail in plywood, but I also glue everything up tight and clamp it hard. Dowels do give you more surface area for glue, so I get why they'd hold better, but 3 failures feels like a lot unless the biscuits were undersized or the slots were cut too loose.
