Why I always include expansion gaps in my cabinets.

Skipping them leads to cracks from humidity shifts.

Seriously, skipping those gaps is such a fake shortcut. People think they're saving time but then a humid summer hits and suddenly doors won't close right. That tiny space lets the wood breathe without fighting itself. It's way cheaper to plan for movement than to fix a split seam later.
