Showerthought: I saw a huge drop in callbacks for wall fish jobs after switching from a standard 3/8-inch bit to a flex bit with a 1/2-inch head.
Before the switch, I'd get called back maybe once a week for a snagged line or a broken pull string, but in the three months since, I've only had two, both in old plaster walls with metal lath.

Three months is a pretty short time to call it a proven fix... could just be a lucky streak. Those old plaster walls are a whole different beast anyway.

Ugh, you are so right. Three months is nothing, especially with plaster. That stuff has a mind of its own and problems can come back years later. It's way too soon for anyone to feel safe. I've seen fixes look perfect for a season change or two before everything falls apart again.

Wait, did they really say it was a proven fix after only three months? That's crazy. Plaster needs at least a full year of seasons to really test it, the heat and cold make it move so much. I had a patch job last six months before the crack came back twice as bad.
