The attic crawl from hell in Phoenix last Thursday
Got a job to run a new line in a house built in the 80s, figured it'd be easy. The attic was packed with blown-in insulation a foot deep and the temp gauge on my phone said 132 degrees. I was up there for almost three hours trying to find a path, drank two full water bottles and still got a headache. The homeowner kept yelling up through the ceiling vent asking if I was done yet. Honestly thought I was gonna pass out. Anyone got tips for working in those super hot, tight attics besides just more water?

Wear a cooling vest, the kind with ice packs. It buys you maybe 20 good minutes before you gotta come down.

Man, my buddy tried that and the ice pack slid right out onto the client's kitchen floor.

Jana_fox50's cooling vest idea is smart, but honestly, sometimes you just gotta tell the homeowner to stop yelling and let you work.
