It really does change things when you find out someone actually knows how to do stuff with their hands. I get that same feeling when a customer mentions they built their own computer or rewired their house. Makes you stop and wonder what else is going on with people you see every day but never really talk to. Most folks have way more going on than the quick version you get at a counter. Kind of nice to be reminded that people are deeper than their errands.
