Paid $120 for a 'factory' cleaning kit, now I'm split on whether it was worth it

The kit came with this special swab holder that supposedly prevents scratches, but after one use on a dusty sensor in my shop, I ended up doing a full wet clean anyway. Anyone else think those branded sensor kits are just overpriced versions of what we already have in the drawer?

Ha, tell me about it! I grabbed one of those fancy kits once and the swab holder honestly felt like it was designed by someone who never actually cleaned a sensor. Ended up using a regular microfiber cloth and some isopropyl I already had, worked just as well. The only real difference is the branding and the price tag, you know? Feels like they bank on people being nervous about messing up their gear, when in reality a steady hand and some patience do most of the work.
