Am I the only one who brought a $4 foam pad to Colorado and slept better than my $130 air mattress?
Two summers back at Ruby Mountain in Colorado, my air mattress got a pinhole leak on night one and I spent the rest of the trip sinking to the ground by 2am. Last June I grabbed a cheap blue foam pad at a garage sale for $4 just to have a backup, and honestly I slept better on that thing than I ever did on the fancy one. It never deflated, never woke up the whole camp with that crackling plastic sound, and doubled as a seat by the fire. What is everyone else using for a pad that does not betray you at 3am?
