Finally tested my old wool blanket against a modern sleeping bag liner on a chilly night in the Adirondacks.
The liner added maybe 10 degrees of warmth without the bulk, and it packed down to nothing. Anyone have a good liner brand that's actually durable after a few seasons?

My old wool blanket from an army surplus store has lasted 15 years and still works fine. That liner material always seems to get a hole or tear after a couple trips for me. I'd rather just deal with the bulk of something that actually lasts.

Honestly my liner's held up great, maybe you just got a bad batch?

Yeah, faith274, that "lasts 15 years" line is the real sales pitch. My fancy liner got a hole just looking at a zipper, while your wool blanket probably stopped a bear once and didn't even get a snag. I guess some gear is just born to survive and other stuff is born to be patched with duct tape.
