My $40 headlamp quit on night two of a 3 night trip in the Uintas
Swapped batteries in the dark and it still would not turn on, turns out the contacts were full of corrosion from sitting in my garage all winter. Anyone else have lights die just from storage, or am I the only one who forgets to pull the batteries out?

Corroded contacts from a winter in the garage, sounds like my whole tool bag. Forgetting to pull batteries is just part of the adventure, right up there with finding out your boots have a hole in them.
