It's just heating food outdoors, not performing surgery. Probably works fine for most people who don't expect restaurant grade results from a tiny stove.

Wait, did you just say these tools work great? I've seen those little stoves fail miserably in real conditions. Last time I was camping, my friend's stove barely heated a can of beans. It's not about expecting restaurant food, it's about basic reliability. If the wind picks up or the fuel is low, you're eating cold dinner. Calling them 'just tools' ignores how frustrating they can be when they don't work.
