My Excel spreadsheet crashed and lost 3 months of budget tracking for our station remodel last Tuesday
I had to manually rebuild everything from memory and paper receipts, but teaching myself how to set up auto backups in Google Sheets actually made me realize how much time I was wasting on manual data entry, anyone else had a digital fail force them to learn a better way?

Ha, that's the universe's way of saying "nice job, dummy!" I had my whole inventory spreadsheet for my home workshop go poof a few years ago, right when I was trying to sort out my tool collection for a big sale. Turns out I was also using a mess of a manual system, and now I just set up a simple auto backup in Google Drive and call it a day. Hard lesson but I guess it's better than losing it all again.
